hatch in 3 or 4 days. We could tell that the kiwi was alive because when the kiwi keeper put the pencil on the egg, it kept falling over when the kiwi was moving inside. We had to be very quiet.

Here is Ora. Ora was named by Harriet Willis at Avonhead School when Ora was 1 day old. Ora means to "keep well". Ora got her transmittor stuck around a tree and got a badly injured leg. She was brought to Willowbank to get better. She is now healthy and tomorrow she is going back to her home in the bush, near Arthurs Pass. "Keep well Ora!

DOC will let us know how Ora is getting on in the bush. "Keep well Ora!"
